History

In its earlier years, G4 was a television station mostly dedicated to the latest in gaming, with their "TV for Gamers" slogan. However, in 2004, G4 merged with TechTV which was a station dedicated to all things related to technology and computers. Eventually, TechTV dissolved and G4 decided to take the station in a new direction. When Neal Tiles took the role as a new CEO, he decided he wanted to eliminate G4's main focus of video games and turn the station into something more male-oriented influenced by gamer culture. Since then, G4 has accompanied several famous television hosts and tech experts, such as Kevin Rose, who then became the founder of Digg.com. Currently, the station continues to appease its audience with shows such as Attack of the Show!, X-Play, Ninja Warrior, and more.
